I have been dealing with this problem for more than a decade. Its severe now. my temporal muscles are all the time in pain. they are effecting my eye sight and quality of life. even pain killers are not effective.

also any stress or disturbed sleep can be triggering factors...
dont go for more medication and consult someone properly for proper profile of required tests and scans....
but remember do not take any steroid, if someone prescribe you a steroid then feel free to consult me one time before taking steroids

for proper treatment need ur completecase history
Differential diagnosis include Migraine, tension headaches, eye sight issues and Temporo-mandibular joint dysfunction. Will need more history and examination to confirm diagnosis and treatment plan. Getting eyesight checked for the first step is not a bad idea.
its important that you get this test done:ESR
if esr is increased you need to get the medicine to prevent this pain affecting your eyes.
