Asking for Mother, Female, 57 years old, Lahore

My mother got a CT and it showed cervical spondyalis in 2018. she suffers some kind of dizziness on and off and recently has a vertigo episode which was severe. the neck got extremely stiff and it stays stiff until get a physio but it gets back to stiffness again. the lower back gets stiff too and cannot move. is there something that can be done through orthopedic manual therapy which can relieve this.

Sorry to hear your mother is going through this.

First, cervical spondylosis does not cause dizziness. So, she needs to be evaluated by a Neurologist for her vertigo.

Second, the neck and back stiffness is worrying for a condition called ankylosing spondylitis.

My recommendation would be to get firm diagnosis for her issues before resorting to mechanical or other alternative therapies.

Good luck!
