Hi just today I delivered and they kept baby in nicu stating that my baby girl hai cleft palette but Alhamdulillah not lip cleft facial features are perfectly fine now they are saying we have to feed him with special feeder and they will do the surgery later when she turns 5 months approximately. Some more information can I get will everything be okay later I’m very very tensed here . Is it a big issue ? Because my anomaly scans were fine I’m amazed now
First of all, congratulations on the birth of your baby girl! I understand how overwhelming this situation can be, but it’s important to note that a cleft palate, while concerning, is a manageable condition. It's great to hear that there are no issues with her lip or facial features, which is a positive sign. Cleft palate surgery is commonly done around 5 months of age, and with appropriate care, most children recover well and lead healthy lives. The special feeder will help her feed safely for now, and your medical team will guide you through all the necessary steps. Keep trusting your healthcare providers, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have more concerns. Everything will likely be okay with the right support.
your concerned doctors guide you properly.its treatable and no worry...feeding with special designed feeders help the baby in feeding with no complications
Hello, congratulations for the baby. Don’t worry cleft palate surgeries are very successful. Till 5 months feed her with that special feeding bottle. She will be fine. Do get her checked for any cardiac issues for the safe side. Thank you
