Talk to Pediatrician on Diarrhoea Since Five Days

my daughter is having diarrhoea since 5 days, i am giving her zinc syp and probiotics. the frequency has reduced to 5 stools per day from 10 stools per day but consistency is still same. doctor recommended ciprin syp which i haven't started. what should i do? please help.

continue same treatment with ORS as well. you can give hidrasec sachet 10mg subah dopaher rat with banana, khichdi and yogurt. avoid sweet beverages.
No need to start antibiotics if no blood or mucus in stool, just continue with ORS (low osmolar) after every stool and continue zinc for 2 weeks. Better to add Myfol.
Don’t give antibiotic.Your child is improving gradually,it may take few more days to settle completely.Continue ORS along above medicine and soft diet (if your child is more than 6 months)
