my three week old daughter strate grunting and stretching herself every 3 minutes apart for few seconds and thn she cries and sleep it disturbs her sleep alot ,is there anything to worry her stool is normal and before passing stool she does TIA
This is infantile colic. It usually starts at 3 weeks of age and lasts till 3 months of age. The cause is swallowed air and the treatment is extended burping for 20 to 30 mins after each feed. Once he passes air from up or down, he will be fine. This is not an illness and is very common in bottle fed children or children who don't lock themselves to the areola and nipple while feeding. No meds pls

THANKYOU FoR REsPONSE , SHE IS ON BREAST FEED AND JUST After TWO MINUTES SHE BURPS N PASS AIR N STOOL EASILY ... I HAVE GIVEN HER GRIPE WATER NOW SHE SLEEPS FOR HALF HOUR QUIETLY WITHOUT STRETCHING AND THAT VOICES
I AM OBSERVING HER AND SOMEONE SUGGESTED ME TO GIVE HERBAL COLIC DROPS SO WHAT DO U SUGGEST ?
