Salam doctor My son is 10 years old And he is taking Orega 3 syrup . I also want to give him iron and calcium syrup so can you please guide me. Which syrup will be beneficial for him.

Walikum Salam. 10 saal ke bachay ko agar balanced diet (doodh, fruits, vegetables, meat, anda, daal) mil rahi hai to zyadatar cases mein separate supplements ki zarurat nahi hoti. Orega 3 ek safe supplement hai jo brain aur growth mein help karta hai.
Iron aur calcium dono hi zaroori hain lekin inka use tabhi karna chahiye jab bachay ko deficiency ho ya doctor ne recommend kiya ho. Extra supplements bina zarurat ke stomach upset aur constipation kar sakte hain.
Best option yeh hai ke bachay ka ek simple blood test (CBC + ferritin + vitamin D/calcium level) karwayen. Result ke baad doctor aapko exact iron ya calcium syrup advise karenge. Tabhi wo bachay ke liye safe aur effective hoga.
