Talk to Pediatrician on Loose Stools With Blood And Mucus

Aoa. My 13 months old baby is having loose stools with mucus since 1 week. And since last 2 days i can see blood in stools in very small amount. Also hes having fever especially early morning spike not more than 101. And vomiting sometimes. Before passing stools he cries a lot and also having rashes.I m a dr myself. So we self medicated flagyl,cefixime,enterogermina,zinc for 2 days. But condition didnt improve so we went to peads proffessor. He suggested cipro, comfy, said condition will improve in 2 days. Today its 1st day. But hes very irritable lethargic still vomiting and loose stools. Oral intake very much decresed. I want to ask if it is ok to continue cipro and wait for 2 days or go for injectbles
if oral intake is ok. baby is wetting diapers then it is fine. otherwise go for injectables

No voimiting ,taking oral ,soaking diapers as baby used to do earlier ,then no need for IV therapy.
oral and injections has same effect ( except for specific diseases ) Cirpo is the best option.

There is no dehydration. No sign of it. Regarding soaking diapers i cant tell because of changing diapers frequently. Hes doing motion 10 times a day. But still i can say he is passing urine. And also cries with tears
In the v first place if hes going lethargic n nt feeding wel get the hydration status corrected,gve iv fluids n inj gravinate to stop vomiting n once settled continue with oral treatmnt
Don't go for injectables you just take appointment through marham inshaAllah he will be better in one day
