Talk to Pediatrician on Low Cortisol And Low Plasma ACTH Level
Asking for Other, Male, 0.4 years old, Clifton
My baby boy age 4 months was having swelling on his face arms and legs since 15 days. I consulted a child specialist his asked me to do some test and report is that he has got low cortisol level it is 0.5 and ACTH level is 5.77. Please let me know what effects do this causes and is it cureable and does it make the baby abnormal. Please let me know. Too much worried. I have attached his reports.
Your child needs proper evaluation for addison's disease or other causes of hypocortolism ... you should consult pediatric endocrinologist. If you are in karachi then visit AKUH or NICH ( dr jamal raza/dr mohsina )
