Talk to Pediatrician on Occipital Lobe Epilepsy

My niece is 6.5 years old she is healthy child very active in school activities sudden she started vomiting and loos motion, in this situation her condition got worst she started getting fits and uncontrollable jolting doctor recommended EEG and diagnosed her occipital lobe epilepsy. also she fall very hard on her back on road few months back her head hurt badly from back what could be the cause is this bcoz of head injury or anything from genes as her parents are cousins (cousin marriage) plz help here we are very much concerned about our daughter ?
