Age:10M15days weight: 9kg baby had low hb so dr gave iron supplements. Now hb is fine but serum iron is low and tibc is high. she is having good weaning. like she is having all food groups in a day. she has fine values of reti-c. reports are attached. does she carry on the 8drops of maltofer or not? if yes how much?
your child is not iron deficient now. you can continue to give iron on maintenance dose that is the same 8 drops.
for Three months at least.

carry on maltofer ? get a stool examination for ocult blood too ... she takes cows milk or not?
after correction of anemia continue 3 month iron therapy
continue same medicine for 3months
Continue with iron supplement .It takes couple of months till the body iron is replenished completely

Haemoglobin is in normal range so u can stop iron Syp. Do not worry about iron and TIBC as they are just marginally raised . Ensure good intake of iron rich food. No tea with meals for kids
