My son is 2.5 years old.. he didn't start speaking.. he understands everything and pickup every single thing very quickly. Only the problem is he don't speak and when we can't understand or fulfill his wish he start shouting very loudly. I consulted many doctors they all say everything is ok. He will start speaking later but shouting is the main problem that now everyone start disliking him and hitting him. Being a mother im becoming depressed day by day. What should i do about his delaying speaking and shouting problem.. please suggest me
He shouts and yells because he can't express himself. Once he starts speaking, yelling should settle down.
Do not hit or yell at him in return.
Get his Hearing and Vision assessed as soon as possible. Arrange a full developmental assessment by a Developmental Paediatrician.
There are two ways you can improve his speech afterwards :
Consider admitting him in a nursery/school for exposure to language or start Speech Therapy.
