Talk to Pediatrician on Stool Colour

My one year son having dysentry( very little red colour blood in stool). Dr started mytil syrup. After few hours of dose of syrup mytil he passes orangish colour in stool. It is not blood. But it seems to me that it is the colour of syrup mytil. Is it true that mytil causes change in stool colour? Can anyone confirm plz?
