Assalam o Alaikum Dear doctor my daughter has 4.5 years of age, her upper side of bladder is swell by birth and other side ID normal. Dr told thar it will be OK by the time, but till today it's like as first day and now I feel it's increasing. Kindly guide us.
Assalam o Alaikum,
Agar 4.5 saal ki beti ka bladder birth se hi swollen hai aur abhi tak theek nahi hua, balkay barhta hua lag raha hai to isay ignore karna theek nahi. Ye urinary tract / bladder malformation ya koi congenital problem ho sakti hai jo growth ke sath barh bhi sakti hai.
Aap ki beti ka Ultrasound KUB (Kidney, Ureter, Bladder) aur urine tests repeat karna zaroori hai.
Pediatric urologist / nephrologist se consultation karen.
Agar bladder me blockage, reflux ya structural defect ho to timely treatment bohot important hai taa ke kidneys ko damage na ho.
Sirf “time ke sath theek ho jayega” par rely karna safe nahi, specially jab swelling barh rahi ho.
For detailed assessment aur next step guidance, aap video consultation book kar sakti hain with Dr. Fizza Noor.

Your daughter’s swelling on the upper side of her bladder could be a mild urinary tract issue that often improves with time, but it’s wise to keep an eye on it. Make sure she drinks plenty of fluids, avoids constipation, and watches for signs like fever, pain, or changes in urine color. If the swelling doesn’t shrink in a week, or if she develops fever, discomfort, or any urinary symptoms, schedule a follow‑up with her pediatrician. Early evaluation can rule out infection or other conditions that might need treatment. In the meantime, gentle warm compresses and keeping her comfortable can help reduce discomfort.
