This could be a familial essential tremor. If a parent had a tremor then it can pass on to the children who at a particular age would develop a similar tremor. There are other tremors also like intention tremor which occurs with problem of cerebellum, a part of the brain. Also in Parkinson’s disease you can have a tremor as part of the triad of symptoms that includes tremor, rigidity and slowness of movement. For treatment of tremor you need to diagnose as to what kind of tremor it is and for that you need to consult a neurologist
Could be essential or dystonic or enhanced physiological tremor. Need more information.
