Buscopan Tablet Uses

Buscopan Tablet is taken to soothe abdominal pain that comes from tightening of the tissues in the stomach, intestines or urinary tract. It achieves this by relaxing the muscles in these tracts which helps to stop severe bouts of pain quickly.

Your doctor may prescribe Buscopan Tablet for the treatment of:

• Abdominal cramps

• Irritable Bowel Syndrome

• Menstrual cramps

• Bladder spasms

• Gastrointestinal spasm-related pain

Always use the Buscopan tablet as directed by your doctor:

Adult Dosage

1 Tablet, 3 to 5 times daily, as advised by your doctor.

Children Dosage 

1 Tablet, 3 times daily, as advised by your doctor

How to Take:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water

• Can be taken with or without food

• Take at regular intervals as directed

• Do not exceed the recommended dose

Avoid using Buscopan Tablet if you:

• Are allergic to hyoscine butylbromide

• Have myasthenia gravis

• Have narrow-angle glaucoma

• Suffer from megacolon

• Have difficulty urinating due to prostate issues

Tell your doctor before using this medicine if you:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding

• Have heart disease

• Have gastrointestinal issues like obstruction

• Are over the age of 65

• Are taking other medications, including antihistamines
