Chronic heartburn is the term which mostly used for the condition of severing uncomfortable and burning sensation in the chest after or during the meal.


Causes of Heartburn

It happens when the stomach acid leaks up into the esophagus. This may happen due to

  • High consumption of acidic foods
  • Smoking
  • Alcoholism
  • spicy foods

Risk Factors of Heartburn

  • Smoking.
  • Eating large meals or eating late at night.
  • Eating certain foods (triggers) such as fatty or fried foods.

Preventive Measures of Heartburn
