you can start giving purees and semi solid foods at 6 months. some foods are introduced earlier like fruits and vegetables commonly mashed banana, apple, carrots, kaddu etc. start only one new food in a week and gradually increase. then add another one. at 8 months you can start egg and wheat based foods. don't use sugar, salt and honey till one year of age. don't use packaged items. if you want detailed guidelines you may book an appointment and I will send it to you and explain it to you as well
