Talk to Pediatrician on Hearing Loss
Asking for Self, Female, 2 years old, Karachi
Is it ok to take 2 hearing test for 2 year baby she had her ASSR test 3 days ago from which we arw not satisfied my new doctor recommend BERA but i forget to mention him about ASSR test is it harmful to take 2 test or this early??

If ASSR is normal, i wonder why the doctor wants to go for a BERA..? Normally, and even internationally, an ASSR is done after aN OAE and BERA is not suggestive.. if ASSR was done before BERa, may be there is no need to perform a BERA. Rest upto the treating ENT physician.
no its not harmful both are almost similar . but better to get advise from ENT specialist
Its not about satisfaction, its about what the result suggests so that matter can b solved accordingly
