Dear Doctors, My sister's newborn daughter's anus area and its surroundings has become very red and it is painful.It may be due to diapers. Please suggest some medicine for it she is in pain.

use any diaper rash cream whicj contains zinc oxide. apply it often and keep area nappy free and dry as much as possible. clean area with plain water , avoid tissues or wipes. in case no improvement in 3 days you can consult me for further treatment
