assalam o alaikum,
my son is 08 months old. for the past 25 days, he has been having cough. for first three days, he also had fever but gone with the passage of time.
current diagnosis is severe cough for the past 25 days and flue for the past 2 days.
for first 5 days, we gave him coldrex, then for next 4 days, we gave him softin, then for next days, we gave him zetofen and for the last 7 days, we are giving him myteka sachet.
we took him to 2 child specialists but his condition is not getting well. he was coughing and has now flue also. no medicine is working.
I am really worried. we have given so much of medicines. will it affect his kidney?

ideally patient should be seen physically.it looks like post pertussis coughing or reactive airway disease.first of start syp.claritek and start nebulization with clenil compositum 0.5 ml diluted in 2.5 ml normal saline twice daily for 3 days continue syp.zatofen 2.5 mp twice daily for 15 days
continue myeteka sachet and syp.Rigix 2.5 ml at night for 15 days
none of these medicines are nephrotoxic.
together give home remedies like green tea with honey yakhni normal saline nasal drops every 2 hourly and steam inhalation
