Talk to Pediatrician on Fever And Coughing
Asking For Other, Male 7, Jeddah
my son have fever since 5 days and he is coughing since then. we are treating him with ibuprofen syrup and amoxicillin clauvinic acid 128mg/5ml syrup. now 5 days fever repeating and coughing not stopping. here we have witnessed weather change.
Did you check the fever with thermometre?
What is the weight of child?
And how much amount of medicine has been given?

7 years old and weight is 19kg.
antibiotics as mentioned above we was giving 5ml twice and now increased since yesterday 7.5ml twice. now 5 days since we giving antibiotic plus ibuprofen.

stop this antibiotic and start Syp Klaricid twice a day for 7days,Brufen three times a day for fever,how much is the fever?syp Neosedil once daily in evening for 7days,Syp Doxolin half tsf twice a day for 7days.Tablet Myteka 5mg once daily in evening for 14days
After augmentin putting the child to another antibiotics without blood cp done is not appropriate in my point of view

is your son has any red lips,runny nose ,rash or just fever with cough?
how much the temperature goes upto did you have record of that..2ndly you have already given him antibiotics if its healed it shows it can be viral...if fever is viral with H influenza then antibiotics won't work...
get his nasal swab done n Blood CBC ASAP
