About Voniza Tablet

Voniza tablet uses include treating gastric and duodenal ulcers, healing reflux esophagitis, and eradicating H. pylori infection when used with antibiotics. It is a potassium competitive acid blocker containing Vonoprazan, which helps in reducing stomach acid production by blocking the hydrogen-potassium ATPase enzyme in the stomach lining. 

Voniza Tablet Uses

Your doctor might give you Voniza Tablet for:

  • Gastric ulcer

  • Duodenal ulcer

  • Reflux esophagitis 

  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease

  • Heartburn and acid regurgitation

  • H. pylori eradication (when used with antibiotics)

  • Prevention of gastric or duodenal ulcer 

  • Prevention of NSAID-induced ulcers

Voniza Tablet Dosage and Administration

Always follow your doctor's instructions exactly.

Adult Dosage:

  • For gastric or duodenal ulcer: 20mg once daily for 8 weeks

  • For reflux esophagitis (healing): 20mg once daily for up to 8 weeks

  • For maintenance of healed erosive esophagitis: 10mg once daily for up to 6 months

  • For H. pylori eradication: 20mg twice daily with antibiotics for 14 days

Children Dosage:

  • Voniza Tablet is not recommended for use in children.

How to Take:

  • Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

  • Can be taken with or without food.

  • Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

  • Take at the same time each day for best results.

Voniza Tablet Warnings

Don't use Voniza Tablet if you:

  • Are allergic to Vonoprazan or any ingredients in the tablet

  • Are taking rilpivirine-containing products 

  • Are taking atazanavir sulfate or nelfinavir

  • Have severe liver impairment 

Voniza Tablet Precautions

Talk with your doctor first if you:

  • Have liver disease 

  • Have kidney disease

  • Have low magnesium, calcium, or potassium levels in your blood

  • Have osteoporosis or are at risk of bone fractures

  • Have vitamin B12 deficiency
