Voniza tablet uses include treating gastric and duodenal ulcers, healing reflux esophagitis, and eradicating H. pylori infection when used with antibiotics. It is a potassium competitive acid blocker containing Vonoprazan, which helps in reducing stomach acid production by blocking the hydrogen-potassium ATPase enzyme in the stomach lining.
Your doctor might give you Voniza Tablet for:
Gastric ulcer
Duodenal ulcer
Reflux esophagitis
Gastroesophageal reflux disease
Heartburn and acid regurgitation
H. pylori eradication (when used with antibiotics)
Prevention of gastric or duodenal ulcer
Prevention of NSAID-induced ulcers
Always follow your doctor's instructions exactly.
For gastric or duodenal ulcer: 20mg once daily for 8 weeks
For reflux esophagitis (healing): 20mg once daily for up to 8 weeks
For maintenance of healed erosive esophagitis: 10mg once daily for up to 6 months
For H. pylori eradication: 20mg twice daily with antibiotics for 14 days
Voniza Tablet is not recommended for use in children.
How to Take:
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Can be taken with or without food.
Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
Take at the same time each day for best results.
Don't use Voniza Tablet if you:
Are allergic to Vonoprazan or any ingredients in the tablet
Are taking rilpivirine-containing products
Are taking atazanavir sulfate or nelfinavir
Have severe liver impairment
Talk with your doctor first if you:
Have liver disease
Have kidney disease
Have low magnesium, calcium, or potassium levels in your blood
Have osteoporosis or are at risk of bone fractures
Have vitamin B12 deficiency
Are pregnant or planning to become pregnant
Are breastfeeding

Symptomatic relief does not rule out the presence of gastric malignancy
Long-term use may increase the risk of bone fractures
Long-term use may cause fundic gland polyps
Use the shortest duration of treatment appropriate for your condition
