Summary about Thyroid Cancer

Thyroid glands located in the neck near Adam’s apple and cancer of the thyroid glands occur in the cells of the thyroid glands. Thyroid cancer is cancer in which growth of abnormal cells begins in the thyroid gland. Like all other cancers, thyroid cancer also has its origin basis in DNA mutation due to radiation exposure or any other carcinogen element. The hormones of the thyroid glands regulate the heartbeat, temperature, weight, and blood pressure. In the united states, thyroid glands are not common but the rate of cancer patients is increasing. Due to the advancement in the technology helps them to find the small thyroid cancer which is not possible to find.

 The existence of cancerous cells in the thyroid showed clear signs like

• lump or swelling in the neck
• Pain in neck and ears
• Prouble in swallowing and breathing
• Poarseness of voice
• Frequent cough and persistent wheezing

Thyroid cancer is mostly treated with the surgical procedure and often with radioactive iodine.
