یہ چوہوں میں پائے جانےوالے ایک جرثومے کی وجہ سے ہونے والی بیماری ہے۔ یہ بیماری انسانوں میں مکھیوں کے ذریعے پھیلتی ہے یا متاثرہ چوہوں کی وجہ سے بھی پھیل سکتی ہے۔ اس مرض سے لمف نوڈز مین سوجن سامنے آ سکتی ہے۔ اگر اس کا فوری علاج نہ کیا جائے تو سنگین نتائج سامنے آسکتے ہیں۔

Summary about Plague in English

The plague is a serious bacterial infection that is caused by fleas. In the Middle Ages, it was also called Black Death. In the 20th century, less than 5,000 people per year worldwide were affected by the plague. It can be deadly if not treated quickly with antibiotics. Yersinia pestis, the plague-causing organism, lives in small rodents that are most prevalent in rural and semi-rural areas in Africa, Asia, and the United States. The virus is transmitted to humans bitten by fleas fed on infected rodents or persons in contact with infected animals. The most common type of plague involves swollen and tender lymph nodes, which are referred to as fumes in the groin, armpit or neck. The rare and most dangerous form of plague affects the lungs and can be transmitted from person to person.

Plague often leads to the following symptoms: Fever Chills Abdominal pain Breathing problems Cough Weakness Headache Bleeding

It is caused by Yersinis pestis, a microorganism found in rodents. It can be transmitted to humans by fleas who fed on such rodents. It can also spread from affected person to others and by eating food contaminated by these rodents as well.

Risk Factors of Plague

Risk of plague increases where there are rodents such as rural and sub-rural areas where rodents are common.

Preventive Measures of Plague

Keeping rodents away and their population under control is the most effective way of preventing plague. Protect yourself and your pets from fleas by using insect repellants. Keep your house, workplace, and environment clean to avoid attracting rodents.

There are three types of plague: 1- Pneumonic plague 2- Bubonic plague 3- Septicemic plague
