There is no fracture in the visibles parts of the xray. Did your doctor do a thorough examination?

Me ne 2 3 jga consult kraya..koi kehra hairline h koi kehra fracture nhi h sprain hoga..ab mujhy plaster lga dya gya aur 18 days bhi hogye hain..& Alhamdulillah im pain free now & walking with support..i just got worried when one of them said k keep it for 6 weeks but i dont find any reason to keep it for so long if there's no visible injury

normally a fracture take 06 weeks to heal, in your xray no fracture can be appreciated, other than bone it could be ligament sprain/ damage, depending upon your diagnosis treatment time may vary from 2-8 weeks of immobilization.
fracture healing usually takes 5 to 6 weeks. the quality of the picture isn't good to comment on the provided x-ray.
although it seems to be a calcaneal fracture bcuz of the doubtful fracture line ... for better comments u would need to provide a better x-ray of the calcaneum and a Harris view too.

Orthopedic surgeon ko dikhaya tha in karachi modern hospital n T.O clinic
Swelling was on lateral side of foot between ankle and little finger n the area got bruised too after some time on the day of injury...pain spreaded from lateral to medial surface and it was so severe in tarsal area that i wasn't even able to put my foot on floor even without putting any pressure..its been 18 days ..im judt confused bcoz some are saying there's nothing & it might be a sprain n some saying hairline fracture h so keep it for 4 weeks..although im all ok now Alhamdulillah..no pain no symptoms since a week & im easily walking with support

Salam..plaster has been removed after 3 weeks but there's still this swelling. I feel a slight pressure pain in this area. Is it normal? Will it take time to disappear? Shuld i go for over the counter medicines?
