Asking for Husband, Male, 27 years old, Not In Pakistan
Married for more than 3 years. No conception. Husband diagnosed with azoospermia after 3 semen analysis, one after 2 day, one after 3 day & one after 1week abstinence. All hormonal work up including FSH levels, thyroid, done. All within normal range. No history of any heart disease or diabetes etc. Cholesterol levels within normal. No physical problem regarding erection. Physical examination done by urologist. Normal testes. Per rectal usg done. Prostate normal. Choromosal karyotyping done, normal reports. Throughout family only 1 of his grandfather’s brother has no children but no records of his testing. Recently we were told that after biopsy we will see, if sperms found we will freeze them and proceed for ivf. If not, then we will send sample for histopathology. But no sperms were found in biopsy so the sample has been sent for histopathology report. We are still awaiting it. My query is, pls explain to me in detail the prognosis, what to expect now. Any hope?

The doctor told us that if sperms found on TESE, we will freeze them immediately for ivf. After surgery he came to us and said unfortunately no sperms found on TESE. So sample for MicroTESE has been sent to histopathology lab. I basically want to know, why he used this term unfortunately? Is it a very bad prognosis if no sperms were found in TESE? Will there be any chance of finding sperms in micro TESE? Or it that procedure only to find abnormalities?
