Zika virus is infected by the same type of mosquitoes which cause dengue fever. But, it is different from dengue fever. It occurs with the bite of the Aedes mosquito, which carries the virus in them. Zika virus was first discovered in Uganda, but there have been some cases in Pakistan as well. It is an alarming situation because people lack the information regarding this disease, which makes it hard for them to get it checked.

1. Mild Fever
In zika virus, a person experiences temperature for 2 to 3 days. The illness occurs in the first days of the mosquito bite, which is an uncomfortable experience for a person. The fever is mild and can be confused with a common fever, rather than a viral infection.
2. Rashes
In zika virus, the body of the person covers with the rash. The rash is small and includes the large part of the body. The rash starts to show from the first day of the bite and then spreads to other regions of the body. It can also spread in the palms and sole of the feet.
3. Pain
Zika virus induces pain in the joints and muscles. Headaches are also an important symptom which makes the person at unease. It is better to consult a doctor if any change in the body occurs. Joint and muscle pain can make it difficult for a person to move.
4. Pink Eye
Pink eye is also known as Conjunctivitis. It occurs due to the inflammation and the eyes become reddish and watery. The person feels the burning sensation which can hinder the visibility of the individual. At this point, the person should consult a doctor.
5. Restlessness
The person feels restlessness; it is due to all the other symptoms. The person has difficulty in spending time because he/she feels unease and anxiety, which prevents them from processing normally. In this case, it is important to visit the doctor for a thorough check-up.
