A,Salam I want to ask how the scoliosis, or postural defect can be cured, if someone's is having since long like from the age of 13-14 till 27. Is it cureable through physiotherapy? Ot any medication, (taking iron pills for red blood cell as the patient is having a weak body and dye to carring weight on her arms) what type of tests are required for examination for treatment as it's a female. this will need some xray views and clinical examanitaion as well...U need to see an orthopaedic surgeon/Spinal surgeon...
its important to have few radiographs 1st. then angles drawn on it after which it is decided whether brace is required or corrective surgery is required.... clinical examination is very important so plz visit in clinic...

Scoliosis is a three dimensional deformity usually starts around the age of puberty and progress till skeletal maturity so as u already mentioned pt is skeletally mature so it will not progress further treatment varies from observation to orthosis to surgery depending on the degree of curve that can be measured on cobbs angle on xray. Spinal cord involvement and its associated anamolies in spinal cord can only be assesed by an MRI.
Treatment depends on severity of cobbs angel. In mild cases no treatment is required. In moderate to severe surgery is only option. Treatment can only be recommended after complete physical examination and radiological investigations.
There is no medical or physical therapy treatment for scoliosis, only treatment is surgical. You have to find an expert spinal surgeon who has a lot of experience in treating scoliosis surgically as every spinal surgeon can’t correct it . It’s a complicated surgery and has complications as well if done by improperly. Surgeon will order special x rays and will measure its angles and treatment decision will depend on the severity of curves and its progression. And these x rays can’t be done every where. Thanks
