I have noticed that my Incisor on the left is getting too sensitive to everything be it water for ablution or something else. it started a week ago and today I noticed gum of that teeth looking black like sore with infection but there is no prominent infection. I'll be visiting dentist near me soon but till then I want to know if this is something serious.

If the pain is non spontaneous i.e when stimulus is removed the pain subsides immediately or within 5 seconds then its reversible pulpits which can be treated by filling but if the pain remains for several miniutes then it might be irreversible pulpits which can be treated by root canal treatment.
Visit some qualified dentist ASAP to have a good prognosis of the treatment.
