Asking For Self, Female 34, multan
I had a c section one month back, 2 days ago I suffered from diahorea and right side lower abdominal pain today I have gone through ultrasound and Dr told me that my appendix is increased in CBC my TLC is 10,900, is it possible that my tlc will be improved with antibiotics and there will be no need for surgery
Visit any General surgeon for clinical examination
depends upon symptoms and severity
depends on clinical examination
most likely you will need surgery
that depends on the clinical condition..visit a general surgeon...
depends on clinical examination
Tlc is on a higher side. Most likely it’s an appendicitis but have to examine to be sure. I would advise you to start the antibiotics and get yourself examined for need of surgery. I sit at aadil hospital DHA main Boulevard Lahore Cantt OPD 1 and room 3 you can come by 5 pm
need to visit asap, needs examination
what is your pulse ? it needs proper abdominal examination, but Tlc is on higher side too. visit any surgeon , let him/her decide. we can put pt on conservative treatment also for acute appendicitis. But you need a surgeon to evaluate you.
U need to consult a surgeon
yes it is possible.
you can manage the symptoms with medicine, but , if there is any worsening of symptoms then contact the doctor/hospital as soon as possible.
needs general surgical evaluation.
You need general surgical evaluation to confirm the diagnosis. Ultraosund is beneficial but not much. Your Lab report showing TLC on higher side. the chances of appendix is pretty much however for confirmation u need to visit.
It is possible though, but generally not advisable. you should be evaluated by Alvarado scoring system. If you score 6 or higher you should have surgery
yes initially we can manage it conservatively with antibiotics. if the pain doesn't settle with antibiotics then we will have to proceed for surgery.
Whr do you live?? We can't advice any treatment without an examination.. We will correlate ur clinical and labs findings and then we will decide what treatment should be appropriate for you.
OK..

Preference is immediately visit a surgeon and get yourself assessed, don't eat or drink anything from now so if needed, surgery can be done today. Antibiotic can solve acute appendecitis at early stage, now risk in continuing antibiotics, also you will need operation at some stage, sooner or later
Need appedectomy
decision can only be made after examination, appendix is not easily seen on ultrasound unless grossly inflamed. so visit me in person, I will evaluate then decide
General Surgeon opinion is must to conclude what to do next.
most likely it's acute appendicitis... plan for diagnostic laparoscopy and after that laparoscopic appendectomy would be the best plan for you..
Get yourself examined before starting anything, don't self medicate
Thanku for asking .Is there any history of fever vomiting ,loss of appetite ? And fortunately u deliverd ur baby safely.so no need to worry u can take antibiotics and analgesia for 1 week .and can be recovered with medication only IA.. take Tablet ciprofloxacin 500mg BD Tablet flagyl 500mg TdS. And tablet neburalfort Bd . Can contact me after 1 week ..
clinical examination is must to rule out appendicitis
A fairly thoughtful question I usually listen from well educated patients. Consider Appendix as a blind tube which gets blocked, infected and causes pain. This settles when after appropriate examination and labs, diagnosis is confirmed and appendix surgery is done. TLC may improve with antibiotics however appendix is not normal now and it will again give more serious infection.
Don't worry !
