I've never had high bp in my entire life not even in my first pregnancy but this time after my cesarean my bp shoot to 120 /190 and then it has been a week AMD it still isn't going down. I get a reading of 95 125 everyday. Please help what tests should I get done and whats the cause of this persistent high bp. How many days will it take to vet back to normal
u should get consultation as dr will do complete examination and advice blood pressure medication if persistent high b.p..normally if b.p doesnot go after 10 days of delivery u should see a physician..

It may take 6 weeks after delivery for the BP to settle.
It may be due to pregnancy i duced hypertension.
Monitor ur BP and take medicine for it. In majority of cases it settles down within 40 days
