Asking for Self, Female, 31 years old, karachi

I am breastfeeding my 9 months old daughter. I have periods only once after delivery. i am feeling like pregnant but home preg tests are negative. Is it possible during breastfeeding that periods come and go? i am experiencing period like pains almost like every day from few days.

- well come and thanks for preffering Marham for your health Consultation.
- dear post delivery and if exclusively breast feeding then it's possible to skip periods and less fertile period but if not Exclusively feeding then could get pregnancy .
- have serum beta hcg ( blood Pregnancy test ) Immediately to check your pregnancy status as urine pregnancy test could miss Early Pregnancy.
- if comes positive have folic acid daily and scan after 1-2 wks if remains asymmptomatic but if symmptoms remains as u said better to have transVaginal scan immediately with Expertise hands and beta hcg to be repeated after 48 hrs .
- in case of positive Pregnancy test and symmptoms u need deatailed Evaluation to exclude Ectopic Pregnancy in tertiary Care Gynae Emergency
- I hope you get my point.
- follow up with beta hcg and transVaginal scan.
- best if Luck.
