After a year of trying I was unable to conceive a baby. We had a visit to gynecologist who after regular ultrasound found cyst in an ovary. She gave medicine (Diane 35) for few months but it didn’t dissolve. On Transvaginal ultrasound it appeared as a complex cyst with solid tag and echogenic foci .CA 125 test were also done with values around 44 and 43 respectively. Repeat ultrasound after 3 months again suggested complex cysts in both ovaries. Gynecologist conducted a Laparotomy for cysts removal which, to our surprise, failed. She said ovaries and tubes were both embedded in dense adhesion and she wasn't able to remove cysts since it wasn't easy for her. It was such a painful thing to undergo a major surgery with no results. After few months of recovering, we went to two other gynecologists to discuss the previous treatment and follow up. However, both almost said that laparoscopy should have been done in the first place and even now, the solution is to remove adhesion by laparoscop
Yes it’s true that u need adhesiolysis by laparoscopy , but if not possible then go for IVF

-Dear I can understand your concern.
-As already u are depressed with previous surgery and now anxiously want to conceive but just keep in mind that dense adhesions were there, surgeon unable to remove adhesions and could not get those results as were Expected.
-it woukd be better to have proper detailed diagnostic laproscpy, adhenolysis, chromopertubations, dye test for tubal patency to have better out come.
-now have hysterosalpingogram to check tubal patency and then it's better to Co to use folic acid.
-complete treatment of any health issue u have need to be checked and treated properly.
-have balanced diet, weight and Bmi.
-have recreational activities and quit recreational drugs.
-have sex in fertile period of cycle and try to have semen analysis report as well.
-husband's general health should be well and request him to quit smoking if have been doing.
-follow and discuss HSG report, detailed history, all investigations vwith fertility Consultant to have proper intervention. U may need IUI if unable to conceive for long.

Dr. Uzma Mohsin Thanks for your detailed reply. Can you kindly suggest any experienced gynae surgeon who can perform diagnostic laparoscopy and adhesiolysis in Islamabad? I am too afraid to take any further risks and experiment with an inexperienced surgeon.

What do you say about hysterosalpingography test.? Should it be performed to check the tubes first?

Didn’t ur gynaecologist check it at the time of laparotomy , when she found adhesions and couldn’t proceed for cystectomy
