Asking for Self, Female, 32 years old, KArachi
I want to ask that I got pregnant through IVF and my delivery is expected in June, i consult the doctors but all are telling to get the delivery through C section but i want to do the normal delivery is it possible
-wellcome and thanks for preffering Marham for your health Consultation.
--Dear pregnancy after Ivf means u have been treated for fertility issue and then ended in Ivf.
-medical. History, gynae and obstetrics history, drug history and pregnancy and whole Antenatal history need to be discussed Actually.
-in case of risks factors or indications during labour warn cesearean section then it's better other wise with proper continous monitoring, under senior consultant in tertiary care multidisciplinary Care u can try for normal labour (if every thing goes normal).
-Decision of mode of delivery can be taken as pregnancy advances and as things getting more clear.
-follow regular Antenatal visits and scans. Report symmptoms like reduced fetal movements, bleeding or pain immediately to gynae Emergency.
-Detailed, strict, continuous regular monitoring of fetus and mother required and then after 36 weeks mode of delivery could be decided after detailed Evaluation.
-best of luck.
It is difficult to suggest as no details of your pregnancy has been mentioned and no investigations have been posted. Apparently if there is no risk factor you can have trial of labour you should discuss with your doctor or get a second opinion after visiting another gynaecologist.
Yes , of course it’s possible . If everything’ is fine , ur baby’s growth and during labour if ur CTG is fine and ur progressing normally , u can deliver normal but if problem for u or ur baby , then Caesarean section is indicated. The goal is safe mother and safe baby
trial of labour depends upon your history and clinical examination .if every thing is ok you can have a trial of labour with monitoring of fetal heart and your progress of labour .
