Talk to Gynecologist on Period Delay

My wife is concerned because her period is delayed this month. It has been 33 days since her last period. This has never happened before. Her last period started on 26 Jan. We were se*ually active in January (without any inte*course at all) but after that she got her period normally on 26 January. And then I left for another city on 28 Jan (so no se*ual activity since one month after she got her last period). We are a newly married couple and never had any inte*course. The last month has been very stressful for my wife. She has been working too hard at her job due to high work load. she has also been facing trouble sleeping at night due to the work. To induce the period,she has been taking warm liquids since last two days, like ginger tea. She also slept with a hot pack on her abdomen. Please let me know what could be wrong. We are very concerned regarding this issue.
