I am a 20 year old girl and I am having very sharp waves like pelvic pain that the insides are being pulled down. This pain usually starts a week before my periods. I started to have this pain from an year ago. I just wanted to know if this is just normal before a period or should i go for a proper checkup?

-wellcome and thanks for preffering Marham for your health Consultation.
-Dear if it's Cyclic pain associated with periods and always comes near /before or around periods then it's hormonal and could be described as premenstrual syndrome.
-have one pelvic scan with full bladder with Expertise hands.
-can have tab ponstan 500 mgs 8 hrly for 3 - 5 days for pain.
-follow with scan and have proper diet with more fruits and vegetables to avoid constipation and other related digestive issues.
Have plenty of water daily and do have walk as well.
-best of luck.
