Asking for Self, Female, 25 years old, Karachi
I am 25 years old currently in my 4th month of pregnancy (5th about to start). I am having the following issues since the last 2 days:
Shoulder Pain Tooth Ache Anxiety Weakness Flu (No fever)
However, whenever I eat something I feel better and nausea goes away.
I want to ask if this is normal during pregnancy and there is nothing to worry about the child. Also, can I take any cough syrup or strepsil type tablet for my cough.

it's normal during pregnancy
take proper,healthy,balanced diet
stay well hydrated
continue iron calcium,multi vitamin supplement
for cough you can take syrup
you have productive cough or dry cough?
for flu,steam inhalation twice a day with Vicks vaporub and nebulize with normal saline twice a day.
if symptoms don't improve within a day or two take tab softin one tablet at night time.
yes u can take tab strepsils and if sore throat then warm saline gargles
There is a condition when which is rare in pregnancy BT can occur at any age and after 5 month of pregnancy till post delivery as ur symptoms are suggestive of cardiac prob

Can you clarify in detail as your answer is pretty vague for a non-medical professional. What kind of Cardiac problem? Is there any risk to the baby or myself?

dear I m not saying that you are having cardiac failure but u should go for work up as your symptoms are suggestive of cardiac problem shoulder pain tooth ache dry cough all should be taken seriously and your 5 month of pregnancy all are suggestive of heart prblm plzz get ur ECG and echo done and further this problem is life threatening for mothers more than baby

thanks alot I am on fertility treatment my period date was 9 march , from 3 to 7th day I took letrozole 2 times a day from 6 to 8th day I injected folinis injection.my doc asked me to visit with tvs on day 14 she prescribed efaston 2 tab a day .from 14th day of cycle till today that is 17th day I am spotting . she asked me to have intercourse but because of this spotting I am unable to do. what is this ? is this periods or spotting. because during intercourse their was large amount of blood on day 14th .what to do ?

do u ve same complain in past ever I mean iregular bleeding and bleeding after intercoursr do u have ur TVS done what was the findings in it

15mm follicle was on 13 day . doc asked me to have intercourse in coming 5 days.yes previously I experienced spotting but I am worried and confused ye tablets ki waja se to nai .efaston from day 14 to 28 2 times a day..

Do u ve dry cough .short of breath.ur blood pressure .family history of hypertension and high bllod pressur??? Do not take it easy u should do ur cardiac work up done like ECG and echo go for it consult a cardiologist also

Not really a dry cough. There is some phlegm. I don't have shortness of breath, no blood pressure, no family history of hypertension or high blood pressure.

- Dear u are following Regular Antenatal visits and scans ????
- Consult your treating obstetrician as she knows u well if she have been dealing this pregnancy from start .
- here before giving any advice previous history need to be discussed for this pregnancy and before as well .
- have one urgent Consultation with treating obstetrician to have detailed Evaluation for shoulder pain ,flue.
- Continue to have home remedies like honey ginger tea,gargles .
- don't forget to take healthy diet with multivitamin like calcium with Vit D and iron .
-u had Suger test at 24 wks and anomaly scan at 20 wks ??
- if not need to do that as well .
- follow all above and have detailed Evaluation to have necessary investigations and examination to get specific treatment.

Aoa .. its normal in pregnancy .. dnt take stress .. should take proper diet n sleep .. take iron n calcium properly .. for flu u cant take steam . avoid any type of medicines ..

Regarding your question, I would classify it as a dry cough since there is little to no phlegm in the end.
