Asking for Self, Female, 26 years old, Karachi
I have delivered a baby boy 20 days ago via normal delivery. Every thing was fine but immediately after delivery i faced severe shivering for almost 2 hours and then excessive blood loss. It was too much that doctor put some pads inside me and removed them the next day. They came out and doctor said now u r fine. I want to know what could be the reason for that much blood loss?? At the time when doctor was treating me she said tmhara uterus bhi contract hogaya hai bleeding honi to nhi chahiye but when she removed them the next day she said uterus contract nhi hua tha tmhara. Please guide me what could be the reason? Is there anything to worry about??
Nothing to worry now if u r not bleeding and feeding ur baby
Aoa!
Its been 2o days by now.
Its quite normal and happens to most of the laboring mothers.
Dont worry about it. Try to breastfeed the baby as suckling by baby
produces oxytocin hormone which helps in oozing out of milk from nipples. &
contraction of uterus too.
Hope you will have a nice motherhood
JazakAllah
What you experienced is called post partum.haemorrhage.
The.most common cause for.it is usually lack.of ability of the uterus to contract. The muscles of the uterus, sometimes after delivery don't contract efficiently leading to blood loss.
The most common method used to encounter it is usually Use of drugs and packs which was done in your case.
No need to worry. Get your haemoglobin checked. In case of any problem take Iron and rest shall be fine Insha Allah !
Uterus was relaxed so it bled when it is contacted bleeding is stopped
Just get an ultrasound for reassurance
