Asking For Someone else, Son, Male, 3 Years old, Lahore
Dear Doctors, My 4 years old son and 3 years old daughter both have map like pattern on their tongues. They have smooth, reddish patches surrounded by white borders on their tongues, due to this they do not eat well specially they feel chilly in everything even it is very light. The doctor prescribed vitamin supplements but No relief. Now, according to the doctor, there is no cure for it. What do you guys think about this? Is there any treatment available? Thanks
it seems a geographical tongue which looks like this but cause no issue other than cosmatic concerns

dear parent, nothing to worry about it. it doesn't need any treatment. it will get settle with time.

It is a benign condition . No specific treatment other than some prevwntive measures including adequate cleansing of tongue after meals, avoid hot and spicy foods, and vitamin supplementation. No other harm or morbidity association is ther. So you need to be relax and take it as a normal thing.
This is geographic tongue no cure it will resolved byself nothing to worry about.
