I need to know im 29 weeks pregnant. Due to low lying placenta i had bleeding issues since 3rd month. Now my ultrasound shows that placenta has rised high n no bleeding since last whole month. I had been taking dupheston twice a day which now dr has stopped. But again last night i had a brown discharge. Shud i start dupheston again? I hv an appointment with my gyne on Thursday. Before that if anyone can guide me here?
Oral progesterone ( like duphaston) has no role at this stage of pregnancy, better to start progesterone by vaginal or rectal route (cyclogest pessary) if spotting persist. In case of bleeding or pain immediately contact your doctor in emergency.
