Asking for Self, Male, 32 years old, Karachi

Respected Psychiatrists, Good Day, I'm seeking a crucial piece of advice from you guys that might help me in finalizing my decision. Actually, I'm suffering from OCD for the past 14 Years and Have been on anafranil 10 mg for 10 years which is discontinued and Now I'm using Depricap 20 Mg for the last 4 years. But now, I'm beginning to feel the sexual side effects of these SSRI. Like low libido, decrease in penile appearance and weakness in general. I also noticed increase in grey hair in my head and body months after i started using depricap. I researched a bit on the medical journals online i.e mayo clinic etc and came to know that "GINKGO BILOBA" is very much effective in reversing the sexual side effects of SSRI. That being said it also said that it can limit the potency of an ssri and and may also cause a fatal condition "Serotonin Syndrome" if the ssri and gingko biloba is used together. My question to you is, can i use gingko in the night before slee

My advice would be to avoid it. Certain preparations of Ginko have been reported to cause seizures or fits, especially if used with Depricap. There are many inconsistencies in formulation and potency of herbal products.
I can see that you are concerned about sexual side effects. It can be treated and easily managed.
Please speak to a Psychiatrist in person for full assessment. Information on Internet can be very misleading without guidance.

Fist of all Ginkobiloba is a herbal product which increase neurotransmitter levels. For low sexual desires there could be multiple reasons other then SSRI use. You need to see your primary Psychiatrist for the assessment.
