The winter timings in both private and public schools in Punjab have been extended until January 31st due to cold weather conditions.
An official notification for winter timings was given by the Punjab School Education Department in which it was said that all the public and private schools in Punjab will continue to start at 9:30 am.
The winter timings in all public and private schools in Punjab which were originally extended until January 23rd, 2024, have now been further extended till January 31st, 2024.
Moreover, all the schools will reopen with regular timings from February 1st, 2024.

The extension of winter timings will be implemented in all private and public schools across the Punjab province, as per the notification.
However, there will be no further extension in the winter vacations for public or private schools for nursery and prep students in Punjab.
Additionally, as per the January 10, 2024, notification, it should be kept in mind that all outdoor activities and assemblies will remain suspended in schools until January 31st, 2024.
