     Usually, people suffer from stomach problems after eating spicy and oily foods. And the symptoms as mentioned above arise or worsen after eating such foods. 5 Common Stomach Problems In Pakistan:

     The disorders of the digestive system in humans are prevalent. Usually, they need proper treatment to recover. When stomach problems are serious, they need your attention, as ignoring them is not a wise choice.

    The hard to diagnose stomach problems have overlapping symptoms. The health specialists recommend tests for stomach problems to interpret them correctly, and usually, these tests are invasive procedures like endoscopy, etc.

    Here are the 5 stomach problems that are common in Pakistan;

    GERD:

    Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is the stomach problem in which the sphincter muscles between the stomach and the oesophagus are either weak or relax abnormally, leading to the backward flow of the acid into the oesophagus. The significant symptoms of GERD are heartburn, regurgitation of food and sour taste of liquid in the mouth.

    Gastritis:

    Gastritis is the condition in which inflammation of the stomach lining occurred. Several stomach conditions may lead to gastritis. Usually, this gastritis is due to infections in the stomach.

    Burning in the stomach and fullness are the two prominent symptoms of gastritis. These people also feel stomach pain, belching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, blood in stool or vomit, etc.

    Gastric Ulcer:

    Gastric ulcers are open sores that develop on the inner lining of the stomach. These ulcers are caused by H.pylori infection or NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). They open the passage for stomach acidity to attack its walls and develop ulcers.

    Ulcers include a dull pain in the stomach, weight loss, burning sensation in the chest, fullness in the stomach, nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite due to pain.

    H.pylori Infection:

    Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) infection is caused by the bacteria h.pylori in your stomach. You can get H.pylori infection through contaminated food, water, utensils, saliva, other body fluids of the infected person, etc.

    The symptoms of this infection are burning pain in the abdomen, especially when your stomach is empty, nausea, loss of appetite, frequent burping, bloating, weight loss, etc.

    The treatment of this infection is done with the combination of antibiotics and stomach protecting medicines.

    Stomach Cancer:

    Stomach cancer is one of the most common types of gastrointestinal cancers. The early signs of stomach cancer may appear like other stomach problems that are not very serious. That’s why it is essential to get a consultation with the gastroenterologist while having mild complications and symptoms.

    H.pyolori infection can also lead to stomach cancer. Its timely treatment is essential to avoid such conditions.

    Apart from these stomach problems, many other gastrointestinal problems are also widespread in Pakistan. Formation of gall stones, Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), constipation, etc., are some of the many other common complications that affect the digestive system in humans.
