‘Movember’ To Raise Awareness About Men’s Mental Health

Reading Time: 2 minutes

November 4, 2020: Movember, around the world, is observed as the awareness month for men’s mental health. During the month of November, it is the shave-and-grow-a-mustache activity that helps to create awareness about men’s health. Specifically mental health issues.

In this annual campaign, men are called to shave their mustaches on October 30 and will have to regrow them during the whole month of November. To support this activity, the participants request their friends and family to make donations to the men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer causes sponsored by Movember.

According to the research that has been conducted by the Movember community, that the effects of the COVID19 pandemic on men’s mental health are really very concerning as the ratio of suicides is rapidly growing.

The Movember community’s main focus has always been the mental health of men. According to studies, one male commits suicide every minute globally.

The money which will be raised by the funds this month will be backed by many efforts that include Movember Conversations, discussions among men, and other activities that seek to improve mental health and well-being among males.
